A caste certificate is a very important document which provide the identity of a person and also certifies the person’s belonging to a particular community, religion and caste. In Uttar Pradesh, the citizens need to get a caste certificate so that they get the various kinds of facilities provided by the Government. You will get every details in UP e-district portal. Eligibility Criteria
One must meet the eligibility criteria for applying for the caste certificate in Uttar Pradesh:
- The person applying must be a permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh
- The person belonging to the caste must be listed in schedule-1 of the UP Public Services
Document Required
- Self declaration
- Address proof such as Ration card, Voter ID, Telephone bill or electric bill can be produced
- Passport size photo
- Income certificate
- Caste certificate of father
- Certificates in respect to village head
- Application form in proper format
Applicable Fee
Under UP government scheme, there is no application charge for applying for caste certificate in Tehsil office but you need to attach a court fee stamp of Rs.1.5 in the application form. If applying through an UP e-district portal, pay a service charge of just Rs.20 for processing.
Validity of caste certificate in Uttar Pradesh
The caste certificate in Uttar Pradesh is valid till your death, that is, lifetime.
Apply caste certificate though CSC centre
STEP I: Fill up the application form with the required format and your caste category.
STEP II: Attach your passport size photo and the court fee stamp.
STEP III: Self-declaration for getting the caste certificate.
STEP IV: Submit the application form, declaration with the required documents to CSC operating personal.
STEP V: CSC person will send request for the caste certificate online. Make sure you note the application number for the future reference.
STEP VI: You will be updated the process of application through your mobile number.
After processing, the certificate will be issued and on receiving revisit the centre to give the application number for downloading caste certificate or Jati Praman Patra in Hindi langauage.
Apply caste certificate through UP online
STEP I: Visit official website of Government of UP.
STEP II: If you are new to UP online page, click on register button.
STEP III: Press login ID and click on check availability button, go for further process if the log in ID is unique.
STEP IV: Provide the required details.
STEP V: Click the security code to register in portal.
STEP VI: Check your phone to enter the OTP for generating a password.
STEP VII: After registration login to the web page using your user ID and password.
STEP VIII: After logging in, select fill an application option.
STEP IX: Select Jati Praman Patra from the drop-down menu from service option.
STEP X: Fill up all required details for caste certificate.
STEP XI: Upload photo, Ration card and self-declaration.
STEP XII: After completion, press submit button. Keep the application number for future reference.
Verify and Download
Once the certificate is approved by the concerned authority, verify the details. After verification the applicant can download the certificate.
